I love you! My mouth will boast and tell of You. I praise You! I always long for Your presence and Your voice. I yearn to be in that place where my heart, my soul, my mind and spirit are totally surrendered to You. A place in the depths of my being, where no one else, and nothing else, can reach, only You. You have blessed me beyond my imagination. You have brought me through treacherous paths, slippery slopes, fear, abuse, violation, refreshed and revived me, and given me the power to stand tall. You give of Yourself endlessly; You love me relentlessly, never giving up on me, always reminding me of my worth.
There are those who will look down on you. There are those who want you to be small. There … More
We want to be set free from the damage caused by rejection, violation, stigma, prejudice, and put-downs that have been inflicted by the hands of others. God is so simple, so uncomplicated. He just wants to have a beautiful relationship with us, His creation. Yet we reject Him, and all that He has to offer to our precious souls. We tap into people around us, into family, friends, colleagues, acquaintances. We tap into drugs, our intellect, technology, our own devices, schemes, and human intelligence.
This is your personal moment of truth. In order to set yourself free, you must be honest with yourself. In your journey to loving yourself, have the courage to look in the mirror to see who you have really become. Is that who you truly are? Or is there a greater and better you? So who should you become? Give yourself the gift of personal truth. Don’t be superficial, be very honest, genuine and authentic about it.
Whose tune do you dance to? Yours or someone else’s? Does your tune carry caring rhythms? Do you merge with others who do the same? Does your tune carry destructive rhythms? Do you join those who are of the same? What do your tune and dance promote? Pain, fear, anxiety, stigma, division, hurt, bias, anger, rage, depression, prejudice? Or do they leave a ripple effect of joy, peace, tranquility, love, unity? What are your tune and dance? The kind that builds, heals and brings life? Or the kind that brings destruction, fear, hatred and death? Choose well! There is power in caring!
We tap into anything and everything except the power that saw fit to make us the unique, special, valuable, and precious souls we are. Many of us have been fooled, tricked, and lied to, and this has made us downcast and disenchanted. But let me boldly submit to you that I believe that we are created with incredible power and divine ability called dunamis. I believe that we carry dunamis within us but we have not exercised this power either out of ignorance and we do not know of its existence, or because we continually reject the One who created us and installed dunamis within us, thus only He can trigger and cultivate it in us. He needs our cooperation to do so, but we either deny His existence, or we know He exists but we decide that we do not need Him in order to thrive and rise above the ordinary and the things that keep us emotionally, mentally and spiritually trapped and damaged. What harm would it do you to ask if God is real and if indeed you are created with such immeasurable divine power? Why don’t you find out about the divine power you are really made of and fulfill your purpose?
This is not about religion, but about restorative power, healing power, reconstructive power, and power to do what appears to be the impossible. We have tried everything else, so why not this living God? This might be your chance for healing, the healing that you know long for! It is the power of the living God that understands your torment and brings you healing and restoration, not religion.
Despite what we have been told, what we have been taught, and what evil people have done in His name, I do not believe that He is so insecure and controlling, needing to criticize, punish, and judge us at every turn, or scheming to slice us into pieces and beat us into a condemned pulp. No, He wants us to use the indescribable power He has generously created within us to elevate ourselves and take flight into our purpose and destiny. If we can believe in products made by humanity, knowing that they are not flawless, how much more should we believe in a God who declares that He has created us fearfully and wonderfully! Maybe we are unable to process the thought that God believes in us? Maybe we are incapable of seeing how precious, valuable and priceless we are in His eyes.
I do not have the human capacity or authority to tell you who or what to believe, or how to worship, but I do have the responsibility to tell you about Him and this foolish love and weakness He has for mankind. I have the guts to talk about Him, His love, His mercy, His faithfulness, and His redemptive power, because I know they are real. Given the condition of humanity, my conscience will not let me rest.
The same money we are using to publicize our trust in God is the same thing we are using to oppress His creation, and to seemingly destroy each other. What are we doing! Worship and trust God, or worship and trust the money? What will it be?
